Hi! I’m Ra. Thank you for visiting my blog! I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS); but, that is not all of my story.
When I’m not here at PCOS Ra, I’m usually listening to TED talks, reading articles about raising reindeer, furiously trying to finish a quilt, or stuck at the laundromat. For reasons unknown to me, the other laundromat patrons think I work there. I am tempted to request a discount in exchange for how much free customer support I provide.
I do productive things too–I work full time in a job that is best described as “herding cats on a massive scale,” and then I drive home, cook dinner, and jump into my part time job that is best described as “herding anxious cats on a less massive scale.” Life is busy, wonderful, beautiful, and stressful.
I live at the base of the Rocky Mountains and feel innately lost when I am away from them. I’m a Mormon. I am very interested in improving the health of women and children (in a real way, NOT a fake midwifey woo ‘we don’t have complications because we don’t test for them’ way).
I dislike it when foods touch each other on my plate, and fresh whole tomatoes are quite possibly the most revolting food I have ever encountered. Despite this fact, I insist on growing hordes of them every year. If you come visit me in the summer, please bring a bucket because you’ll be taking tomatoes home. And maybe a few zucchini.
If you’d like to contact me about a speaking opportunity, question, or anything else, please use the brief form on the Ask Ra page.
